History: Draden was born on Corellia into a simply family, the last of five children and the second boy. His parents were both teachers in the capital and he was blessed enough not to be taught by them because he was still young when his life took a dramatic u-turn. He had passed the age of four when they came knocking bring and early in the morning. A Jedi master and his padawan, both robed with their hoods up, looking all mysterious. Though he was young he was bright for his age, not that he let that on, he didn't want to be picked on my his older siblings. The Jedi were invited into his home and while they conversed with his parents, he climbed onto his mother's lap and looked at the Jedi across the table with a curiosity in his eyes and while the Padawan spoke of the nature of their visit, the Master looked back at him and smiled, and he couldn't help but smile as well.
Little did he know that his parents and the Jedi were talking about his discovery at possessing traits seen in a Jedi, until his parents dressed him, packed his things and handed him over to the Jedi. He knew better than to fight them on this, he was young and good behaved so he accepted what was happening, but maybe he accepted it a little too well. He was put on the speeder belonging to the Jedi Master, then he looked back at his mother, father, his three sisters and his brother, all waving and tearing at him and he returned the waves, but he held his tears, he was too sad and too scared to cry before these strange men.
Hours later, the Jedi Master put his before a room filled with aliens, all looking at him with vacant expressions, as if trying to hide what they were thinking, fearful that they would reveal their thoughts, opinions and inclinations through their physical displays of emotion. He was put before one of them and told to perform a strange test. He found himself looking at the back of a screen, guess what the image was, that is, if the image was changed and he guessed right through the whole process, oblivious as to it's purpose, but surprise, surprise, he got them all right. Next thing he knew, he was taken in as a youngling in the Jedi Order, an Initiate to be more formal. He was trained to use the skills he never knew he had and he even got to toy around with a fake lightsaber and worshipped the day he'd finally get one.
Years later, that day cave where he ventured to Illum to the cave to retrieve the crystal for his lightsaber, the green one appealing to him the most. Then he sat down in his room having collected the necessary parts and constructed his own lightsaber and present it before his Master. From then, his lightsaber training began, focusing on his master's form, Soresu and in the process, he also studied Form II on his own. Next thing he knew, eh was travelling throughout the systems with his Master. Journeying to amazing planets, settling disputes and fullfilling missions The Council set them to do. After five years, it was time for him to face the trails, which he did and successful at that, now becoming a Jedi Knight, able to take on his own missions and train his own padawan, which as it turned out ten years later was his test to become a Jedi master. He transferred everything he was taught by his master to his padawan and it wasn't a surprise when his own padawan became a Jedi Knight and him, a Jedi master in the process.
Role Play Sample:
Draden travelled to Illum in his X-wing, setting it down right outside the temple cave in the snow which had thickened enough to walk on. He entered the vast maze of caves and tunnels, but upon entrance, he couldn't see anything that sparkled, that is, no crystals. So he took the next two hours, using the force to guide him to the crystals and that took some walking, but he was young and he was capable so he endured. Then finally, he got to the crystals, an entire chamber, filled with the lot of them, he made to stop and just take one and leave but he had a feeling, a guiding feeling. The crystal he wanted wasn't here, it was further. he believed that all crystals belonged to and chose a single Jedi, which would therefore be unfair when a Jedi loses his lightsaber in battle, others lose out on what could potentially give them a leg up with combining the Force and their lightsaber.
So to search for his destined crystal, it took half an hour and more walking, a path which became steeper and steeper until his guiding sense stopped, and he found himself staring at a particular green crystal. He walked towards it, lifted his hand to it and took it easily from the cave wall. He smiled a she closely examined it then he pocketed it and headed back to his ship and set a course for Tatooine, he had to by the pats needed and they sold the best for the cheapest.
