Sed Orden hurried through the corridors of the Jedi Temple. He heard rumor that Darth Jakar was here a few hours ago. The old Jedi Master was right: a dark Jedi was here and it was his own son, Randar Orden. Sed arrived to Malask Ragnus' quarters. He saluted the Council Master politely.
-"I have heard that Darth Jakar was captured. Was my son really here? What happened to him? I must know..."

Malask looked up from the datapad and stood from his seat then bowed politely. He nodded to Jakar being there and finally answered after a brief moment of thought, "I let him go."

Sed was surprised. The Council Master let a Sith go? The was not right.
-"It is against the Jedi Order, Master Ragnus. Why have you done that? Not only is my son still a Sith but the Republic might want to have you imprisoned."
The old master didn't feel comfortable in front of Malaks. There was always this little something he couldn't get his finger on. He washed this thought away from his mind. Fear and doubt did not have their place in the mind of a Jedi master.

Malask smiled and offered Sed a seat without words but by pulling one out. He sat down opposite at the table and did hope Sed would sit. He had many reasons for letting Jakar go, but there was one above others he wouldn't tell the Jedi.
"The Late Chancellor would have assassinated your son, I saw his thoughts before he died, he was murderous, was going to have his elite unit hunt Jakar down until he was dead. So I of course supplied him with a weapon and allowed him to go on his way. Beyond the code, beyond the republic, if they wish to hunt me so be it, I'll exile myself for righteousness. Would you complain?"

Sed took the seat and listened attentively. Malask was right, no doubt. Maybe Randar would have overestimated his strenght and get killed.
-"I guess you are right, Master Ragnus. Let's just hope the Republic and the Order will understand. If they imprison you, they will leave the door open for the Sith to get the upper hand on us."

"Imprison me? No, they wont have the chance to do so. I'll take them by storm before they imprison me then take flight in exile. Either way the order isn't weak without me, or so I hope not, as I don't have many years left as it is. So I'm sure you'll be fine."

-"You are right, Master Ragnus, I guess I shouldn't have doubted."
Sed stood up and saluted politely.
-"May the Force be with you."
The old Jedi heard what he needed to. He proceeded to the meditation chamber.
