History:
The Force shall free me. This sentence would haunt the mind, heart, and soul of one single woman on the face of the planet. Beared into this world from Ying and Yang parents. Her mother was a Jedi Master. Her father was a Sith. Despite this fact, both could not resist the feeling of love, or perhaps it was the feeling of lust that drove one to the other. Regardless, they found themselves in a situation much like Romeo and Juliet. This of course could not go on, they were sworn enemies to one another, the faction they swore their allegiances to was at war. However, the temptation of picking the forbidden fruit from the tree and biting down into it, was just far too great than either one could bear to resist. And one night in hiding, they slept together. All it would take was one night when the Jedi Master Valilu became pregnant with Yawn. Their love was taboo, and such a thing was unheard of to many ears. For a Jedi and a Sith to not only go against their factions, but to have a child. From here they abandoned their faction and went into hiding, not only to protect themselves but to protect her unborn baby. Valilu and the Sith Father Darth Ganon, (Real name being unknown even to this day.) stayed on Nar Shaddaa.
Unfortunately fate would be their nemesis in this instant, as the luck of hiding from their faction would soon be in vain. A year after the birth of their daughter Yawn they were found by Sith Warriors. Ganon held them off long enough for Valilu to escape with the child, but even Ganon could not withstand the power of the Dark Side when his old master and Sith Lord made an appearance. Drawing his saber and ending Ganon life in this world forever. Ganon life is ironic, and to explain this simply Ganon joined the Dark Side out of hate for love, and in the end it was love that he died for. Irony is a strange creature indeed. Not knowing what else to do Valilu went to the only family, she had in Tatooine, giving Yawn to her sister and begging she keeps Yawn safe and care for her. Valilu did not want to risk her child’s death knowing that the Sith was on her tail. Her only hope for some form of help would be from the Jedi. But before she could get there her ship was attacked and destroyed. Nothing of her physical form is now left, she is presumed dead.
Yawn would be raised by her aunt and uncle along with their six other children. Three boys and three girls, with Yawn now giving the girls, a number advantage over the boys. Needless to say the boys didn’t like it. She grew up feeling like an outcast in the family, with a knowledge that she did not belong here. Even her physical form has an aspect of Ying and Yang to it, as she received both her mother and father eyes. On the right her eye color is green like her mother, and on the left her eye color is red due to an infection in that pupil, much like her father. Growing up she longed to know who her parents were, and why she felt like such an outcast, but her aunt resisted in telling her this in fear of where it might lead. As her aunt resented the Jedi and the Sith. But withholding the truth from Yawn would be a futile effort as she was persistent in her desire for knowledge on her parents. It was then at the age of sixteen she would learn about her mother being a Jedi, and her father being a Sith. Her anger began to grow.
In one sense her uncle and aunt were ying and yang, as her aunt did not want Yawn to learn any more about the Jedi and the Sith, nor teach her any style of combat. Her uncle disagreed and thought if she wanted to learn how to fend for herself she had every right to. And if she wanted to know about the Jedi and the Sith she had every right too. Her uncle being an ex-assassin had some dealings with both, and he knew enough about each one from word of mouth on missions to inform her. And he began teaching her his style which, he called “Ying and Yang”. Those two words make constant appearances throughout her life, wouldn’t you agree?
Being given her uncle’s Vibroblades to practice with, he began teaching her the style. The style originally consisted of using two melee weapons, like light sabers, and using one as an offensive weapon, and holding back the other for defense and counter purposes. Through the years this style went through levels of evolution, now you could use just one weapon, and a bare hand to keep open to grab another weapon, or to just use your bare hand in the combat. One also switches their Ying and Yang positions as an element of surprise to their opponent who may have grown used to seeing their style the way they have.
For two years she practiced this style to perfection, her first real battle being with one of the sand people warriors, she managed to outwit, out smart, and out move the warrior leading to his death. Now being in the start of adulthood Yawn moved out from her home and wished to learn more about her parents. She went to the Jedi to ask about her mother, and was outrage to hear what some had to say about her. (Not fully understanding the means behind the words, due to anger that blinded her.) And this anger would lead to a path of destruction. An unfortunate turns of events would occur. A man from the Dark Side would confront her, with the slyness of his tongue, and with beautiful lies that sounded beautiful in Yawn ears he told her that it was not the Sith that killed her parents, but the Jedi.
With the art of manipulation she was seduced by the Dark Side of the Force. Hearing the code, she found words that were to her liking. “The Force shall free me.” As I said before, words that would haunt her mind, heart, and soul. From that day forth she became a Sith Apprentice. From that day forth she became “Darth Nemesis”. She would have not one saber forged but two. One crystal stone was dyed the usual red, but the second she would keep the original color, the color of green. Now she held sabers the color of her eyes. Ying and Yang. Her story would begin in training after she paid one last trip to the family that raised her.
Role Play Sample: The Force shall free me. Who would’ve thought that four simple words could provide such comfort. The Ying and Yang eyes of Yawn looked onward to the beautiful sunset in front of her, going behind the place she at one time called home. But the Sith was her home now, this place only fed her lie. While it’s true, she owned her uncle for teaching her the style she came to love, she owed this family nothing else. The Sith would be her new family. The power of the Force will be one she would come to love.
She was dress as the Ying to the Sith usual clothing that she preferred as Yang. She wore a white shirt, and a pair of white pants and a white cloak over it, her hood up and over her dark hair. Her red and green irish eyes were narrowed, and full of dark malice. Her Vibroblades was on her waist, her sabers in her heavy heated cloak, but the heat the coat brought off did not bother Yawn- no- Nemesis, one bit. She stopped in front of the door to the house entrance and knocked the back of her right hand against it.
The person to answer, was the person she was hoping would. Her uncle.
“Yawn. What a pleasant surprise. It’s so good to see you again.”
Nemesis forced on a very convincing smile as she embraced the hug her uncle gave to her. Taking out the hilt to her Yang light saber (the red one) she pressed the end where the saber would surface to his chest and ignited the blade impaling him through the chest and the heart. He only had time to give Yawn a surprised and sad expression before she de-ignited the saber and his body fell limbed against the doorway. She stepped inside the home and the next figure to stepped into the room one of the three sons. The first, and last, thing his eyes would set upon would be the reignited Yang saber blade slicing through his neck and causing his head to fly into the wall as his headless body fell limb. The screams of one of the three daughters hit Yawn ears as she turned and gave her a semi-glare that felt like her father and mother was behind the stare, seeing she shared her parents’ eyes.
The woman made a run for it, but she could not outrun her planed death that unfortunately took form of a woman she once considered being her own flesh and blood, even though in reality they were not. Yawn lunged to break the distance barriers between them as she swung her blade and cut the woman in halves on the kitchen floor. She turned and saw both her other sisters standing in the doorway scared.
“What are you doing!? Have you gone mad!? We’re your family Yawn, why are you doing this to us?!” the sister on the right demanded.
However she would receive no response from Yawn, as she lunged again and impaled both women standing in the doorway. It was like they gave up hope, they were going to die by their own loved one, and they could not run, nor fight back, they could only stand there and feel the savage saber blade pierce their hearts, which was already broken at seeing the malice and evil that were coming off of their sister.
The two remaining boys would not go down without a fight, grabbing their blasters they open fired on Yawn, but she quickly reacted and quickly took up her Ying saber and ignited it, reflecting the lasers as she used force push to push the table in the center of the room up into the air and crash into one boy as he fell to the ground. The other one kept shooting at her but she reflected each one, this defense appeared to be futile as she lunged again and impaled her brother. Glaring at his expression that was cover in pain as she pulled the blade out of his chest and she watched him fall to his death. The remaining son got out of the table and stood up only to feel the saber slice down his head and down the rest of his body cutting him in halves on the floor.
Her aunt would then step in front of the head of her husband, and let out a scream of horror, hearing this Yawn de-ignited both her sabers and walked in front of her aunt, grabbing her by the neck with her right hand and pushing her forward, turning her aunt back against the wall of the house on the outside, and pushing her back against it. Placing her other hand index finger on her aunt lips, motioning her to be quiet.
“Try to relax mother. I just thought I would drop in for a visit,” she said coldly.
“What- What have become of you!? Why are you doing this!?”
“Punishing the ones, who lied to me. I know the truth now. My mother did not die by the hands of the Sith, but by the hands of the Jedi.”
“You’re so blind. Whoever told you that are lying to you-!”
“You’re the only one that’s lying.”
She took up her offensive saber hilt and pressed it to her aunt right ear, glaring into her eyes as her aunt knew what was to come next.
“You’re going to kill me aren’t you?”
The answer did not require words, but the igniting to the saber blade that rip it way through one ear and out the others. De-igniting it as her aunt body met with the sands on the ground.
“Yes.”
Turning her back on her past, her family, her loved ones, and unknowingly, the truth, Yawn went forward away from her home. And entering into a world ruled by the Sith. The words she loved still floating in her head.
